For the Common Good by Raymond A. Foss

We each are gifted, given spiritual gifts
the parts for the body, the hands, the feet, the ears,
the parts of the whole, all critical, all needed
in the service of the community,
the making the way smooth
the toiling in the vineyards, in the fields,
to bring the good news to the world
to be Christ for those we meet
all are needed, all are called
for the common good
